New Delhi (JEE ADVANCED 2020): The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2020 admit cards were officially released yesterday i.e. Sep 21, 2020, by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) on the exam website jeeadv.ac.in.
The time given to candidates to download the admit card is from Sep 21, 2020, at 10:00 IST to Sep 27, 2020, at 09:00 IST.
The exam is set to be conducted in 222 cities across India, in fact, there’s an increase of 164 in the number of cities.
The exam is all set to be held on this September 27 in two shifts. The first shift, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, is to conduct the Paper 1; the second shift, 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, is to conduct the Paper 2.
The number of exam centers has made the count to 1150 this year. However, only 1,60,864 students have applied for the exam which is the lowest in the past three years.
Well, this decrease in the number of applying candidates was expected because the exam is taking place amid this pandemic. There were over 2.5 lakh candidates eligible for the entrance exam, but about a lakh candidates did not apply for this exam, which is most likely due to the safety of oneself.
IIT Alumni has launched a dedicated portal to help the students in need, which suffered problems at the time of JEE Main.
In the admit cards, candidates will be able to see details like- Name, Roll Number, Photograph, Signature, DOB, Address, Category, Exam Date, Time, IIT Zone, Center Address, and other related information. The admit card will be bearing some safety measures too as the exam is going to be conducted amid the pandemic.
It is advised to all the candidates that they must check whether all the details included in their admit cards are correct as per their knowledge, or not. In case any candidate encounters any issue regarding the mentioned details, he/she should contact the JEE Advanced 2020 Exam Authorities.
